(Beijing, 16 September2011) China Entrepreneur Club held a lunch meeting with United States Ambassador to China, Gary Faye Locke, at the Park Hyatt Hotel. Club members LIUChuanzhi, WUJianmin, NIUGensheng, LIUDonghua, ZHUXinli, Edward Tian, Charles Chaoand others had warm and pragmatic discussions with Ambassador Locke on topics includingrelationships between China and the United States,investment opportunities inthe United States and the Club trip to the United States and more.

The lunch meeting had Edward Tianas the host. Club Chairman LIUChuanzhi first gave a speech on behalf of the Club;he expressed his heartfelt thanks to Ambassador Locke for giving the first direct exchange opportunities with Chinese private business groups to China Entrepreneur Club in the first month after holding the post. After introducing the general conditions of theClub and thearrangement and expectationsof the Club’strip to the United Statesin November,Chairman Liu also shared his personal experiences on Sino-US cooperation opportunities; he considered that the Chinese government’s policy of expanding the domestic demand and consumption to pull up GDP will bring enormous and broader opportunities for cooperation between enterprises inChina and the United States.

Afterwards, Ambassador Locke gave an impromptu address; he expressed his admiration and appreciationofthe positive and important role that China Entrepreneur Club played during China's economic transformation and modernization process and the contributions to the development of corporate responsibility and philanthropy. At the same time, Ambassador Locke described his hope of developing furthereconomic cooperation and partnership between China and the United States, promoting extensive Sino-US human resource exchanges and deepening the understanding the people of the two countries have of each other’s culture, history and values.TheAmbassadorrecognized the Club’s trip to the United States as being very meaningful and assured that the United States Embassy in China and he, personally, will do all they can to provide more convenience for helping China Entrepreneur Club to achieve greater success. ‘Your success here in China, it means a success for America’, said Ambassador Locke in his speech.

Duringthe nearly two-hour luncheon, everyone partook of deep communication on topics including Sino-US trade facilitation, cooperation opportunities, micro-blogging and various other subjects.
