Mr. Zhou set foot in the garment industry in 1983. Today, his brand Meters/bonwe – established in 1995 – has become one of the leading casual wear brands in China.
Meters/bonwe was successfully listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in August 2008. Meters/bonwe owns other casual brands, including ME&CITY KIDS, CH’IN and AMPM and is the parent company for banggo.com, an integrated platform for online shopping, fashion news and community. In 2012, the total volume of retail sales for Meters/bonwe was close to RMB 15 billion.
Since establishing Meters/bonwe, through the pattern of production outsourcing and the combination of direct sales and franchising, Mr. Zhou has created the ‘virtual management miracle’ in China’s garment industry. His company has realized the transition from ‘a factory without brand’ into ‘a brand without factory’.
Mr. Zhou currently serves as Chairman of Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, and Vice Chairman of China National Garment Association. He received his EMBA degree from Zhejiang University.
