Mr. Yang has over 32 years experience in the shipping industry. He has been named one of the “100 most influential people in shipping” by the prestigious British shipping magazine Lloyd’s List. Beginning in 1988, Mr. Yang worked as an assistant general manager at Sinotrans (Shandong) Co., Ltd, a state-owned shipping enterprise. From September 1990, he served as the deputy manager in the storage and transportation department of SFTC, a state-owned foreign trade corporation. He started his business in 1991. In 1997, he reformed his business into an employee-owned private enterprise. In 2004, the gross annual income of his enterprise reached RMB six billion. In 2006, he established SITC International Holdings Company as Chairman and Executive Director. Mr. Yang holds an MBA from Asia International Open University. Mr. Yang completed a CEO class in China Europe International Business School in 2004.
SITC International Holdings
SITC International is an integrated shipping and logistics company. It was successfully listed on the HKSE in October 2010. SITC International ranks second in China’s container shipping companies by shipping capacity and is the biggest non-state owned container-shipping company in China. SITC has held the title of China’s largest non-state owned shipping and logistics company since 2006. By the end of 2010, SITC operated 49 container vessels and 53 routes and covered 39 major ports in 8 countries and regions, including China, Japan, Korea and nations throughout Southeast Asia.
